To apply to the program follow these steps:

Applications for summer 2010 will be accepted starting in December 1st, 2009

The regular application steps are as follows:

STEP 1 - make sure that you are eligible

To participate you must:

- be a US citizen or permanent resident
- be an undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor degree at a college or university during the summer
- be interested in pursuing graduate studies in ecology or evolution with emphasis on research
- be available to work full-time in the program, participating in all activities, for 10 weeks during summer (including weekends)
- live at El Verde Field Station during the entire program (including weekends)
- have at least two years of study and a GPA over 3.0
- submit all information required before the deadline

Applications are due on February 28th

 

STEP 2 - fill in and submit the application form

This link will take you to our online application form. We accept applications starting December 1st, before that the form will no be available.

STEP 3- mail additional materials before the application deadline

In addition to the online form, you must submit:

1- An essay. We need an essay about how your professional career would benefit from participating of our program. Include information about your professional goals and past experiences. Please make it no longer than one page single-spaced or 2 pages double-spaced.

2- two letters of recommendation. Make sure that they are send via e-mail by the person writing them. Use either the se two addresses:
